The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the commencement of the 2023 school selection and placement sensitization exercise.
The exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, 11th September 2023 to Friday, 22nd September 2023.
The exercise will involve officers from GES Headquarters, CSSPS and Free SHS Secretariat who will be visiting various regions to conduct the training exercise.
According to GES, the following officers are to be part of the participants to be trained for the sensitization exercise:

The aim of the sensitization exercise is to educate participants on the use of the computerized school selection and placement system (CSSPS) for the 2023 school selection process.
The CSSPS is a system that has been put in place to ensure that all qualified students are placed in suitable senior high schools (SHS) based on their academic performance and choice of schools.
According to the GES, the CSSPS is an efficient and effective way of ensuring that students are placed in schools that match their academic performance and interests.
The sensitization exercise is therefore crucial in ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of the process and how it works.

The GES has urged all stakeholders to cooperate with the team conducting the training exercise and provide them with the necessary assistance.
