UEW New Vice-Chancellor Assumes Office, Pledges Visionary Leadership

The new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual

The new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, has officially assumed office on 2nd October 2023.

Prof. Mitchual is a distinguished scholar with a Ph.D. in Wood Science and Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Prior to his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of UEW, he served as the Ag. Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Kumasi.

Prof. Mitchual has pledged to build on the gains made in fostering a peaceful working environment and leading the university into a new era of excellence and growth.

He has emphasised a commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. He pledges to work closely with faculty, staff, and students to foster a culture of collaboration and to ensure that UEW continues to be a hub for cutting-edge research and educational advancement.
