Wesley College of Education ‘Recruits’ 13 Students as Teaching Assistants

These individuals have been assigned to the college through a collaboration between the college management and the National Service Scheme (NSS) Secretariat.

Thirteen (13) students who completed Wesley College of Education last year have been recruited as teaching assistants by the college’s management.

Under the guidance of Mr. Kennedy Ameyaw Baah, the Principal, the college worked closely with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Secretariat to ensure these individuals were assigned to the college for their mandatory one-year service.

These new teaching assistants will work across various departments in the college, assisting both faculty and students.

Their role will be to provide support in classroom instruction and other educational activities.

The Principal emphasized that the selection process for these individuals was thorough, ensuring that candidates chosen were ready for the task.

To familiarize the teaching assistants with their new roles and the expectations of their service, an orientation exercise was conducted by the College Quality Assurance and Academic Planning Committee on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

During the orientation, they were informed about the responsibilities and guidelines as teaching assistants, as well as the specific requirements of the NSS.

Additionally, the teaching assistants were informed about the privileges available to them during their service at the college.

This includes access to various facilities and resources that will further enhance their professional growth and development.

The 2024/2025 service year began in March 2024 and will run until March 2025.
