Despite earlier expectations, teacher trainees will have to continue waiting for the payment of their allowance arrears.
Checks conducted by Coleman Publications on Friday confirmed that no disbursement has yet been made.
Trainees are advised to disregard any rumors regarding the payment.
According to the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), trainees will receive official notifications when disbursements are made.

H.E. Jephthah Kwame Sefah, the immediate Past President of the Teacher Trainee Association, had previously assured trainees that their payment would be made last week.
However, this did not materialize due to reasons yet to be made known to our outlet.

As it currently stands, the government owes trainees four months’ worth of allowances for the 2023/2024 academic year.
This outstanding amount has caused concern and frustration among the trainees, who rely on these stipends for their living expenses.

However, they remain hopeful that the government will fulfill its financial commitment soon.
