The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the reopening date for first-year students of the 2024/2025 academic year.
According to a statement released by the GES, schools will welcome their new students on Friday, 27th September, 2024.
The academic year’s first semester will begin on that date and end on Friday, 6th December, 2024.

According to GES, all other academic activities, programs, and arrangements for the semester will remain as previously scheduled.
GES also encouraged all heads of Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools to ensure adequate preparations for the arrival of first-year students.

This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing existing facilities and ensuring that necessary resources are available for the smooth commencement of the academic year.
