Strike: CETAG Invited to Meeting with Education Minister

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has sent an invitation letter to the National Executives of Colleges of Education Teachers’ Association of Ghana (CETAG), inviting them to a meeting with the Hon. Minister of Education.

The letter, dated July 23, 2024, was signed by Prof. Francis K. E. Nunoo, the Acting Deputy Director-General for the Acting Director-General of GTEC.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at 2:00pm in the Minister’s Conference Room at the Ministry of Education.

The purpose of the meeting is undoubtedly to address the grievances of CETAG.

CETAG has been on strike since June 14th, demanding that the government implement their conditions of service.

The letter expressed anticipation for “fruitful deliberations” during the meeting.
