President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Gyamfi Felix as the acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), effective January 22, 2025.
The appointment, made under Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), is currently pending the constitutionally mandated advice from the governing board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
According to a letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President, Mr. Felix has been formally requested to confirm his acceptance of the position within a two-week timeframe.

The letter also conveyed President Mahama best wishes to Mr. Felix as he assumes the responsibility of guiding the Authority in fulfilling its mandate related to youth development and national service delivery.
