Gambaga College of Education has held its 4th graduation ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s history.
The ceremony which took place on February 22, 2025, saw 250 students (2023 Batch) proudly don their graduation caps and gowns as they celebrated their academic achievements.
During his speech, the principal, Mr. Kassim Korah Nantomah, applauded the graduates for their outstanding performance.
“Your dedication and hard work have brought you to this momentous day. You have made us all proud,” he stated.

Mr. Nantomah also took the opportunity to highlight the pressing infrastructure challenges faced by the college.

He called on the government to intervene by providing funds for the construction of lecture halls and dormitories.
“Our college is in dire need of proper facilities to accommodate both students and staff. We currently lack sufficient lecture halls, dormitories, and even basic accommodations for the college principal and staff,” he revealed.
Additionally, Mr. Nantomah emphasized the need for an ICT laboratory, which is essential for modern education.
He appealed to the government, through the North East Regional Minister, to consider his request and support the college in addressing these urgent needs.

The best graduating student, Master Alhassan Sumaila, with an impressive CGPA of 3.67, expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues.

“We are grateful to the staff for the knowledge and skills they have imparted to us. We will carry these lessons with us as we embark on our professional journeys,” he said.
Class Classifications
The breakdown of the graduating class is as follows:
- 4 students earned first-class honors
- 156 students obtained second-class upper division
- 83 students received second-class lower division
- 7 students graduated with third-class honors
Gambaga College of Education, established in 2012 as a community college, and accredited in 2013 as one of Ghana’s 46 public colleges of education, has been dedicated to training highly skilled teachers for the region and beyond.

Over the years, the college has built a reputation for academic excellence and discipline. Despite facing challenges, the institution continues to strive for growth and improvement, making significant contributions to the educational landscape in Ghana.

The ceremony was graced by dignitaries, including principals from various colleges such as St. Vincent College, Bagabaga College, Tumu College, and St. John Bosco College.
