Dr. Saajida Shiraz has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF).
The appointment was made by President John Dramani Mahama, tasking Dr. Shiraz with leading the organization forward.
SLTF expressed its excitement in a welcoming post, noting that Dr. Shiraz brings an extensive background in leadership, policy planning, policy research, program management, and organizational development to the role.
She is expected to enhance the SLTF’s efficiency and overall impact.
Dr. Shiraz’s appointment signals a new chapter for the organization, with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and improved loan recovery strategies.

Established in 2005 under Act 820, the Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) provides financial resources for Ghanaian students pursuing tertiary education.
The fund aims to make higher education more accessible and affordable, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce for Ghana’s future.
