PRINCOF Confirms Macro Teaching End Date for Level 400 Trainees -Check Here

The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education – Ghana (PRINCOF) has announced the end date for the macro teaching programme (STS) for Level 400 students for the 2024/2025 academic year.

In a letter addressed to principals, staff, students, and all stakeholders of public colleges of education, PRINCOF stated that the macro teaching programme which started on November 15, 2024 will conclude on March 21, 2025.

“We wish to bring to the notice of all principals, staff, students, and all stakeholders of the public colleges of education that the macro teaching programme (STS) for Level 400 students shall end on 21 March, 2025 for the 2024/2025 academic year” the letter posited.

PRINCOF urged all relevant parties to take note of this new development and carry out their respective roles accordingly.

This announcement and confirmation from PRINCOF aims to provide clarity for the conclusion of the macro teaching component of the B.Ed programme.

Macro Teaching is a mandatory simulated teaching encounter designed to provide teacher trainees with a realistic but simplified classroom experience.

It involves trainees preparing and teaching lessons, allowing them to practice the specific teaching skills(pedagogy) they have been taught as well as receive focused feedback from their mentors and supervisors.

As a cornerstone of the teacher training programs, participation in macro teaching is a required experience for all aspiring teachers.
