NIA to carry out ‘Lost Ghana Cards’ Replacement Exercise. Check Date

Share:

The National Identification Authority(NIA) is the only authorized body fully mandated by law to establish a national data center to manage the national database.

They are to set up a system to collect, process, store, retrieve and disseminate personal data on the population (Ghanaian citizens – both resident and non-resident, and legally and permanently resident foreign nationals),

They are also the body to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of such data, and ultimately issue and promote the use of national identity cards.

The Authority, therefore, wishes to inform the general public that the replacement of the lost Ghana cards exercise will commence on 8th August 2022 nationwide in all NIA District offices.

Individuals whose cards are missing are to take advantage of the opportunity to get their cards replaced.

However, citizens who want to update or correct their names can solely do that at NIA regional offices.
