Allowance: “You Can Load Your E-Zwich Card Now”– TTAG National President

The National President of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG), Master Nanija Divine, has confirmed the disbursement of five months’ worth of trainee allowances for the 2024/2025 academic year.

In a reassuring update to trainees, he noted that although payment alerts are yet to hit mobile devices, the funds have already been credited to the E-Zwich accounts of eligible teacher trainees across the country.

Master Divine has urged trainees to proceed to any E-Zwich centre or designated banking outlet to load and withdraw their allowances.

This disbursement reflects months of advocacy and engagement with relevant authorities to ensure that trainees receive their entitlements before the end of the academic year.

“Although alerts will come in later, the allowance has hit your account. You can load and withdraw it now,” Master Divine assured.

The payment covers five months of arrears, totalling GH¢980 — calculated at GH¢196 per month.

TTAG has emphasised its commitment to transparency and accountability in the allowance disbursement process.

The National Executive Council has also noted that it is working closely with college representatives to monitor and address any payment-related concerns or anomalies of trainees.
