The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued an urgent public advisory amid heightened speculation surrounding its anticipated recruitment drive.
A statement from the Public Relations Unit confirms that, although the Honourable Minister for Education recently announced the intention to recruit 50,000 teachers and 10,000 non-teaching staff, the official exercise has not commenced.
As expectations grow, GES Management is calling for public vigilance, warning that fake recruitment adverts and counterfeit appointment letters are circulating widely across social media platforms.
In the signed disclaimer dated June 28, 2025, GES emphasised that recruitment into the Service will be announced transparently and conducted through official channels only.
These include the GES website, national newspapers, and trusted media outlets. Until such announcements are made, all advertisements purporting to offer GES jobs should be regarded as fraudulent.
The Service categorically stated that all recruitment processes are free of charge, and no individual or group is authorised to collect fees for processing applications or issuing appointment letters.
Management expressed deep concern over the emergence of fake letters and digital scams targeting prospective applicants.
These schemes, they warned, are designed to exploit public anticipation and should be ignored entirely.
The GES urged members of the public to report such fraudulent activities to the nearest police station for prompt investigation and enforcement.
In the meantime, GES encourages everyone to rely solely on authorised sources for accurate information and cautions against falling victim to deceptive practices.
