The Ghana Education Service Opens Teachers Promotion Portal

According to GES, Applications are invited from suitably qualified serving Officers/Teachers for consideration for promotion to the grade of:

• 1. Deputy Director
• 2. Assistant Director I
• 3. Assistant Director II
• 4. Principal Superintendent

QUALIFICATION

Deputy Director

An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director I on or before 2017 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

Assistant Director I

An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director II on or before 2017 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

Assistant Director Il

An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Principal Superintendent on or before 2017 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

Principal Superintendent

An applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Senior Superintendent I on or before 2017 and should have been continuously at post since date (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

NOTE

• 1. Masters /PHD programme should be on the approved GES course of study.
• 2. The Masters/PHD certificate should not have been obtained before the previous promotion.
• 3. Applicants who wish to use the Masters/PhD certificates for ADI, ADII, and Deputy Director Promotion should have obtained their certificate on or before 2019.

MODE OF APPLICATION

1. An applicant should complete the APPLICATION FORM online, and upload a passport-size photograph as well.
2. An applicant should upload only the last promotion Letter or upgrading letter or appointment letter.
3. An applicant should upload only Masters’s/Doctorate Degree certificate when using it for his/her promotion.
4. All documents uploaded should be in a PDF format except the passport photograph.
5. All documents uploaded should be clear and readable.
6. The completed application form should be uploaded on the website NOT LATER THAN 30th September 2022

Please note: failure to comply is equivalent to outright disqualification.
