Stephen Bentum is a level 100 student of Komenda College of Education who joined his ancestors on Sunday 10th October 2022, after battling an ailment that rendered him hospitalized for two weeks.
According to the family, their son passed on at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital in Accra, due to a ‘hole in his heart. An ailment he has combated for years.
On Wednesday, 19th October 2022, the Management, lecturers, and Students of the college paid homage as he was laid to rest at Dominase, Komenda
The HOD for the Mathematics and ICT Department and the Chaplain for the College, Reverend Wilson Kotei Kotey Conducted the Burial Service.
Speaking on the theme “There is time for Everything”, Reverend Wilson admonished individuals present to know there is surely a day coming when we would all embark on this journey of no return, hence one must live as being on an expedition.
Articulating instances, The Man of God emphasized we know times and seasons for only some occurrences and not all.
Adding that, no one knows when it would be his ‘turn’ hence the need to always stay prepared and live uprightly.
He concluded by urging the family to stay strong knowing fully well that God knows best.
The Management, Lecturers, the Students’ Representative Council, the Mathematics and ICT Department, and the Ghana Methodist Students’ Union of the College made donations in cash to support the family.
The Family thanked the College for its unflinching and robust support during these difficult moments.
