Information reaching Coleman Publications confirms that the National Teaching Council (NTC) has concluded the processing of results for the July 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE I).
The results are expected to be released next week, bringing clarity to thousands of newly graduated teacher trainees who participated in the nationwide assessment.
Candidates were examined in three core areas:
- General Professional Knowledge
- Pedagogy
- Area of Specialism
These domains reflect the Council’s commitment to ensuring that teachers entering the profession possess both theoretical grounding and practical competence.

ToggleResit Window for Trailing Candidates
Following the release of results, the NTC will reopen its online portal to allow candidates who trailed in any of the papers to register for a resit.
Affected candidates are strongly encouraged to act promptly, as registration timelines will be limited and strictly enforced.
GTLE II: Final Post-Graduation Licensure
In addition to the resit opportunity, candidates who were unable to write the GTLE I will be given the chance to sit for the GTLE II as fresh candidates.
That is, the GTLE II is designed also to accommodate those who missed the initial exam and also marks the final post-graduation phase for teacher licensing exams in Ghana.
How to Check Your GTLE I Results
Once the results are officially released, candidates can check them by following these steps:
- Visit the NTC Results Portal: https://exams.ntc.gov.gh
- Enter Your Credentials: Input your examination ID, Serial Number and PIN used during registration
- Click “Submit”: Your results will be displayed instantly
- Download or Print: Save a copy for future reference or resit registration.
If you passed all three papers, the system will automatically prompt you to download your provisional licensure certificate.
However, if you do not meet the pass mark, no certificate will appear, but you will be directed to download only your results.
To pass the GTLE, candidates must attain a minimum score of 52% in each paper.
This benchmark ensures that teachers entering the profession meet the essential standards of competence and readiness.
