Teacher Trainee Allowance Update

In a related development, the SLTF noted it received data for 61,486 teacher trainees to process allowance payments for the 2024/25 academic year.

As of this update, 56,505 students across all 47 Public Colleges of Education have received five months’ outstanding allowances.

These payments were made in phases due to data inconsistencies and institutional reporting delays.

Payments for these individuals, according to the SLTF, will be processed immediately upon resolution, and all affected students are assured that no one will be left behind.
