The Ministry of the Interior under the esteemed leadership of Ambrose Dery has issued a public notification to inform the citizens of Ghana that Eid-ul-Fitr, a Statutory Public Holiday, which falls on Saturday, 22nd April 2023 will be observed as a holiday.
However, as this day falls on a weekend, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana has taken the decision to declare an additional public holiday on Monday, 24th April 2023, through the Executive Instrument (E.I), which is in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601).
This holiday will be observed throughout the country and will offer Ghanaians an extended weekend.
