Wiawso College Of Education Announces Graduation Ceremony Date for The First Batch Of The Bachelor In Basic Education Programme

Wiawso College of Education has announced the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Bachelor in Basic Education, which will also mark the 15th congregation in General on Saturday, 27th May 2023 in the college Auditorium, commencing at 9 AM prompt.

This event is a significant milestone for the college, having produced more first-class graduands than ever before, firmly cementing its position among the top ten best producers of first-class graduands for the B.Ed programme.

The college management has decided to award all first-class graduands handsomely in recognition of their hard work and effort, especially in the technical and science departments which are at the core of the college’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) mandate.

The management is proud of the strenuous training, knowledge, skills and education that the graduates have received during their tenure at Wiawso College of Education, confident that these graduates will positively impact their communities and Ghana as a whole.

As part of the ceremony, notable personalities and representatives from the University of Cape Coast (UCC) will be present to grace the occasion and testify to the effectiveness and success of the college in educating and training students.

Professor Samuel Asiedu-Addo, a renowned scholar, and academician of the UCC has been invited to be the keynote speaker. His insightful address will revolve around the theme, “PROMOTING STEM EDUCATION IN GHANA: The Role of Science and Technical Colleges of Education.”

All graduands, regardless of their grades, are encouraged to contribute to the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM EDUCATION) in the communities they serve.

They are expected to harness the training, knowledge, skills, and education they received from Wiawso College of Education and apply it to the promotion of societal development.

Graduates are also encouraged to foster stronger parent-teacher relationships in schools and communities, building teamwork and collaboration, communication and personal development, citizenship, cultural identity, love, positive attitude towards work, and many other critical elements of sustainable development.
