Shama Senior High School aims to continue its winning streak as they face off against these schools in the NSMQ 2023 Regional Qualifiers

The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is an annual contest produced by Primetime Limited, which challenges Senior high school students in Ghana to demonstrate their knowledge of science and mathematics.

The contest brings together some of the brightest students from across the country, who face each other in a content-based battle of wits.

As the countdown to the 2023 NSMQ begins, schools are eagerly preparing for the challenge, hoping to take home the coveted trophy.

On Monday, May 22nd, 2023, the Western Region balloting for the regional contest took place at Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School. The balloting determined the schools that would be pitted against each other in the upcoming contest.

One of the exciting matches scheduled for 6th June 2023 at GNAT HALL, Fijai, at exactly 10 am is an encounter between Shama Senior High School, St. Augustine’s Senior High School, St. Mary’s Senior High School, and Takoradi Senior High School.

Shama Senior High School, the regional champions of last year, appear confident of maintaining their title in this year’s NSMQ.

They have a remarkable track record of performance in the competition and are determined to continue their winning streak in 2023.

The school is pulling out all the stops to ensure their representatives are well-prepared to tackle the tough questions that are expected to be posed during the competition.

This year, all the Western Region contests will be held at GNAT HALL, situated on natural grounds that offer an equal and fair platform to all participating schools.
