In recent times, the issue of furniture deficits in public basic schools has become increasingly acute, despite the government’s relentless efforts to address this situation.
Recognizing the importance of providing a conducive learning environment for students, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Shama Constituency, Hon. Samuel Erickson Abakah, took a significant step towards alleviating this problem.
On Friday, 14th July, 2023, Hon. Samuel Erickson Abakah, in line with his vision and the NPP government’s commitment, handed over a generous donation of 400 dual desks to the Shama District Education Directorate.
These desks were intended to be further distributed to selected schools within the constituency.
During the handover ceremony, the MP emphasized the importance of taking proper care of these desks, ensuring they last beyond their expected lifetime.
Understanding that having adequate furniture is crucial for a conducive teaching and learning environment, Hon. Samuel Erickson Abakah expressed his belief that these dual desks would serve as a catalyst for improved academic performance.
