Black Sherif is now facing legal action as Cruise People Limited has initiated a lawsuit against him alleging a breach of contract.
The lawsuit has been filed at the High Court, claiming that Black Sherif failed to fulfill his obligations under the agreement, ultimately leading to the cancellation of the highly anticipated Afro Cruise Jam concert, which was originally scheduled for August.
According to Cruise People Limited, they had booked Black Sherif for the cruise event and had already paid half of his booking fee, amounting to $20,000.
As part of the agreement, the ‘Second Sermon’ hitmaker was expected to provide a video confirming his participation in the event, which was supposed to take place in Greece.
However, the lawsuit states that despite assurances from Black Sherif that he would send the required video ahead of the media launch on May 19, he failed to do so.
As a result, Cruise People Limited had no choice but to cancel the concert, causing significant financial losses and damaging the reputation of the company.
The plaintiff is now seeking over $100,000 in compensation from Black Sherif for the breach of contract and the consequential damages suffered.
Cruise People Limited claims that they had invested considerable time, effort, and resources into organizing the event, including marketing and securing other artists, only to have it all unravel due to Black Sherif’s alleged negligence.
