President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appoints new Acting Director-General for the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC)

The new Acting Director-General for the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), Dr. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai.

In an official communication, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has announced the appointment of a new Acting Director-General for the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), Dr. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai.

The announcement was made through a letter addressed to the newly appointed Director-General of GTEC, signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante.

With effect from Tuesday, 3rd October 2023, Dr. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai will assume the role of the Acting Director-General of the commission.

This decision by President Nana Akufo-Addo aims to ensure effective leadership and continuity in the commission’s operations.

The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission plays a crucial role in overseeing and regulating tertiary education in the country.

The appointment of Dr. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai is expected to bring valuable experience and expertise to the commission, further strengthening its mandate in promoting quality education and driving innovation in Ghana’s tertiary institutions.
