The University for Development Studies (UDS) has issued a step-by-step guide to help applicants conveniently verify their admission status for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The process, according to the university, can be done online through two official portals.
University officials advise applicants to confirm their admission status before proceeding to download admission letters or make further arrangements.

ToggleHow to Check Your Admission Status

Applicants can check their admission status through the primary UDS Admissions Portal.
The steps are as follows:

- Log in using your UIN (Unique Identification Number) and password – these are the credentials provided during the application process.
- Once logged in, navigate to the UCM Enterprise Portal to view your admission status.
Option 2: Admission Checker Portal
Alternatively, applicants can use the Admission Checker Portal.
The procedure is as follows:
- Fill in the required fields on the form to view or download your admission letter.
- UDS, however, recommends checking your admission status via the main portal before downloading your admission letter for accuracy and confirmation.
Fraud Alert to Fresh Students
In addition to releasing these guidelines, the University for Development Studies has cautioned newly admitted students against responding to fraudulent messages circulating via SMS and other platforms that direct them to make payments for souvenirs into certain bank accounts.
One such message, purportedly from the Students’ Representative Council (SRC), congratulates fresh students on their admission and instructs them to pay GH¢270 into a specified National Investment Bank (NIB) account for souvenirs.
It further claims that only designated phone numbers may be contacted for the transaction.
In a strong rebuttal, UDS Management has distanced itself from the scheme, making it clear that neither the Admissions Office nor the Office of the Dean of Students has approved, endorsed, or permitted any such payments.
The university has urged students and parents to rely only on official communication channels and verify all information directly with the institution to avoid falling victim to scams.
With the release of admission lists, successful candidates are encouraged to promptly confirm their enrolment and prepare for the upcoming academic year — following only official instructions provided by UDS.
