The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has officially announced the opening of its admission portal for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Aspiring undergraduate students can now access the application forms and begin their process of applying to one of Ghana’s leading universities.

Sale of Application Forms

As stated earlier, application forms for KNUST undergraduate admissions are now available for purchase.

The cost of the forms is GHC 250.00 for Ghanaian applicants and USD 100.00 for international applicants.

Prospective students are advised to acquire their e-vouchers as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute rush.

How to Acquire an E-Voucher

KNUST offers multiple options for purchasing the admission e-voucher, catering to different preferences and access to technology.

Applicants can choose between purchasing the e-voucher physically at designated locations or conveniently online

Online Purchase
  • Select the “Ghanaian Applicant Option.”
  • Click on “Purchase Voucher Online” and follow the prompts to complete the payment process. Be sure to select your program type, stream, and category before proceeding.
Using USSD Code
  • Dial *415*55# on your mobile device.
  • Follow the prompts to purchase the e-voucher through Mobile Money on any network.
  • After purchasing, log in to the admissions portal and verify the voucher.

Application Procedure

Applicants are required to follow these steps to successfully complete the application process:

  • Visit the KNUST Admissions Portal.
  • Create an account by signing up with a valid email address and password.
  • Verify your account via the link sent to your email.
  • Log in using your credentials and input the PIN code and serial number found on your e-voucher.
  • Complete the online application form by providing accurate and complete information.
  • Submit the form online and ensure that you keep a hard copy of the completed application form for any future references

NOTE: After submitting the online application form, applicants should NOT post hard copies to the University.

Entry Requirements

KNUST maintains specific academic standards for admission. Prospective students need to meet these minimum requirements to be considered for admission.

The requirements differ slightly based on whether the applicant holds a Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) or West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) qualification.

SSSCE Applicants

Credit passes (A-D) in six subjects, including three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science) and three elective subjects relevant to the program of study. The overall aggregate must be 24 or better.

WASSCE Applicants

Credit passes (A1-C6) in six subjects, including three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science) and three elective subjects relevant to the program of study. The overall aggregate must be 24 or better.

Deadline for Submission of Applications

The deadline for submission of all applications is 31st October 2025.

Prospective students are encouraged to submit their applications early to avoid delays and ensure compliance with the stipulated timeline.
