The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has officially announced the admission process for mature candidates seeking entry into first-degree programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.
This opportunity is tailored for individuals aged 25 and above who meet specific academic and experiential criteria.

Applicants must:
- Be at least 25 years old by June 30, 2025.
- Possess any of the following qualifications:
- Senior High School Certificate
- Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’
- NVTI Certificate
- NABPTEX Certificate
Applicants without credit passes in English and Mathematics at WASSCE/SSSCE or GCE ‘O’ Level must register and pass special examinations in those subjects (GH¢80.00 per subject).
Entrance Examination
- Main Papers:
- General Paper
- Aptitude Test
- Special/Practical Papers:
- English and Mathematics (for those without credit passes)
- Practical exams for Bachelor of Music and B.Ed. (Health, Physical Education & Recreation) applicants
- Exam Dates:
- Thursday, 18th September 2025: General Paper & Aptitude Test
- Friday, 19th September 2025: Special Papers in English & Mathematics
Preparatory Classes
- Duration: Monday, 8th – Friday, 17th September 2025
- Orientation: Sunday, 7th September 2025 at 3:00 PM (C.A. Ackah Lecture Theatre 2)
- Reporting Date: Saturday, 6th September 2025
- Accommodation: Applicants are encouraged to arrange lodging with UCC halls of residence at the North Campus

- Purchase an E-Voucher from any listed sales centre.
- Visit apply.ucc.edu.gh
- Click on “Apply for Programme”, then select “Regular Mature Application”
- Complete the online form and print the confirmation page
Submission of Completed Forms
- Deadline for online submission: Friday, 22nd August 2025
- Hard copies of confirmation pages and supporting documents (results slips, birth certificate, payment receipts, transcripts) must be sent by POST to:
