According to the recommendations, level 300 students are required to undertake various STS activities during specific timeframes

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has officially announced the opening of admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Prospective students can apply for a range of academic programmes across different study modes, including Regular, Distance, and Sandwich options.

Available Study Programmes

UEW offers various programmes tailored to different academic and professional levels:

  • Certificate
  • Diploma
  • Undergraduate
  • Postgraduate (M.A., M.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D.)

Applicants can enroll through multiple study modes: Regular, Distance, and Sandwich programmes.

UEW Application Deadlines

Applicants must adhere to specific deadlines based on their chosen programme:

  • Sandwich – Friday, 29th August 2025
  • Mature Applicants – Thursday, 30th October 2025
  • Direct Applicants – Friday, 28th November 2025
  • Distance (Mature Applicants) – October 2025
  • Distance (Direct/Post Diploma Applicants) – December 2025

UEW Entry Requirements

Eligibility criteria vary based on academic qualifications and age:

Undergraduate Applicants

Direct Entry: WASSCE/SSSCE with passes in core subjects and relevant electives.

Mature Entry: Must be at least 25 years old by September 30, 2025, have two years of work experience, and pass a mature entrance examination.

Postgraduate Applicants

Master’s Degree: A good first degree with at least a Second Class Lower.

Ph.D. Degree: A research-based Master’s degree with a CGPA of 3.0 or higher and a minimum grade “B” in thesis/dissertation.

International Applicants

Must submit certified copies of certificates and transcripts.

Must demonstrate English proficiency (minimum TOEFL score of 100 or IELTS score of 6.5).

UEW Application Fees Breakdown

Applicants must pay a non-refundable fee based on their category:

  • Ghanaian Undergraduate – GHS 255.00
  • Ghanaian Postgraduate – GHS 325.00
  • International Applicants – USD 100.00

UEW Voucher Purchase Options

Application vouchers can be purchased via Mobile Money (*887*9# on all networks in Ghana) or at selected bank outlets, including GCB Bank, ADB Bank, Republic Bank, Zenith Bank, Prudential Bank, Access Bank, and Ghana Post.

UEW Application Steps Guide

To complete the application, applicants should:

  1. Visit the online portal: APPLY HERE.
  2. Enter the serial number and PIN from the voucher.
  3. Fill out the application form accurately.
  4. Upload required documents, including academic certificates, transcripts, a passport-sized photo (red background), national ID, and valid contact details.
  5. Submit the application and print a copy for reference.

UEW encourages all prospective students to apply within the stipulated deadlines to secure admission into their preferred programmes.

  1. I completely hnd in building technology with second class upper and I want to do top-up in secondary education that is the technical and votional training education which level will I joined 200 or 300
