University of Energy and Natural Resources Opens Admission for 2025/2026 Academic Year – APPLY HERE

The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has officially announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This marks an important opportunity for prospective students seeking enrollment in various undergraduate and diploma programmes offered by the institution.

Admission E-Voucher

The admission e-voucher, a critical component of the application process, can be purchased conveniently via mobile money.

Applicants across all mobile networks can dial *887*9# to access this service. Upon successful payment, applicants will receive their e-voucher details through an SMS text message.

The management of UENR has set the cost of the admission e-voucher at GHC220.00. This fee applies uniformly to applicants for both undergraduate and diploma programs.

Prospective candidates are encouraged to procure their e-vouchers promptly in order to begin the application process without delay.

Entry Requirements for Admission

The entry requirements for UENR’s programmes vary depending on the applicant’s academic background and the level of study. These requirements are outlined in detail below:

Undergraduate Programs
  • SSSCE Candidates: Applicants must have a minimum of passes (A-D) in six subjects, comprising three core subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) and three relevant elective subjects.
  • WASSCE Candidates: Candidates should have credit passes (A1-C6) in six subjects, which must include three core subjects such as English Language and Mathematics, in addition to three elective subjects relevant to their desired program of study.
  • GCE Advanced Level Candidates: Eligibility requires passes in three subjects at the Advanced Level (at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Furthermore, candidates must have obtained credit passes (Grade 6 or better) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Holders: Applicants must possess passes in three subjects (at least one Grade D or better) at the ABCE level. In addition, credit passes in five subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and either Integrated Science or Social Studies, are mandatory.
  • HND Holders: Candidates with Higher National Diplomas must have achieved a minimum of Second Class Lower Division to be eligible. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate at least two years of post-HND work experience. Diplomas from other institutions may be considered upon assessment for equivalence.

Diploma Programs

  • Science and Technology Programs: WASSCE candidates require credit passes (A1-C6) in five subjects, including three core subjects (English Language, Integrated Science, and Mathematics) and two relevant electives.
  • Arts, Business, and Humanities Programs: WASSCE applicants must have credit passes in five subjects, comprising three core subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) and two elective subjects.

It is important to note that the University does not accept D7 grades for undergraduate degree programmes.

Prospective applicants are advised to thoroughly review the entry requirements before proceeding with their applications.

Application Process

The application process for UENR admissions is streamlined to ensure ease and convenience for applicants. The steps are as follows:

  1. Purchase the Admission E-Voucher: Procure the e-voucher through mobile money by dialing *887*9#.
  • Access the Online Application Portal: Visit the UENR admissions portal here and log in using the serial number and PIN code from the e-voucher.
  • Complete the Application Form: Accurately fill out the online application form with all required information.
  • Upload Relevant Documents: Ensure that all necessary documents, such as certificates and transcripts, are scanned and uploaded as part of the application.
  • Submit Hard Copies: Print two copies of the completed application form and submit them along with certified copies of certificates, transcripts, and birth certificates to UENR’s Academic and Student Affairs Division by post.

Applicants are encouraged to complete their applications meticulously, as incomplete or incorrect submissions may jeopardize their chances of admission.
