The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Placement Review Window will be open from September 1 to September 8, 2025, allowing candidates to verify their details before final school placements are released.

According to GES, candidates will be required to log into the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) portal at www.cssps.gov.gh to confirm critical details, including gender, school codes, and program choices.
The initiative, the Service explained, is to minimize errors and ensure a smooth placement process.
The Director-General of GES, Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, noted that the Ministry will release an official explainer video to guide candidates and their parents through the verification process.
He encouraged all stakeholders to take advantage of the review period, stressing that early corrections would help avoid complications once placements are published.
Prof. Davis also cautioned parents and guardians against falling victim to fraudsters who attempt to sell school placements.
He emphasized that the placement process is strictly merit-based and cannot be influenced through payments or unauthorized contacts.
“Any attempt to secure placement through money or middlemen is fraudulent, and we urge the public to report such cases immediately,” he stated.
GES further announced that students who secure placements are expected to report to their assigned schools between October 18 and October 20, 2025.
