Management of Komenda College donates items to support the 40-day observation of the late Nana Kodwo Kru II, Omahene of Komenda Traditional Area

After the death of a Leading Figure, a book of condolence is opened for members of the General Public to sign. When closed, the book is given to the relatives of the deceased or archived, because reviewing such a book helps grieving relatives come to terms with the reality of their loss.

On 26th January 2022, The Principal, Very Reverend Dr. Kwesi Nkum Wilson with his Management and The Students’ Representative Council of the College signed the book of condolence opened for the Late Nana Kodwo Kru II, the Omanhene of Komenda Traditional Area and Donated some items to the family as part of the 40th day observations.

In his presentation, The Chaplian- Reverend Wilson Kortey Kotei said the college has come to sympathise with the family and the Community and to present their quota to support the activity.

Items Donated by the College include; creates of bottled water, Bags of Rices, Bag of Maize, Gallons of Cooking Oil, A schnapp” and an undisclosed amount of money.

In his addres, Nana Kwahin V, Tuafohene of Komenda Traditional Area and the Acting President of Komenda Traditional Council said; The Principal- Very Reverend Dr. Kwesi Nkum Wilson with his team has now bridged an ancient broken bond and link that was between the school and the Community.

Being overwhelmed by the Action taken by the Principal with His Management and The Students’ Representative Council, he said, ” the doors of the council is now open to the college, anytime the college should call upon them, they will with all urgency respond.

Adding that, in terms of discipline, commitment and Academic Excellency, Komenda College of Education is the best and urged Management to continue lifting the image of the College higher.

‘I don’t call it a college, I call it the college because it is the Best place everyone desires to be. Continue with the good works you are doing for the college, for we are really proud of it”, he added.

Very Reverend Kwesi Nkum Wilson(PhD) thanked Nana Kwahin V and the family for the kind gesture and warm welcoming. He also promised the council the college will continue to strengthen it bond with the community.
