Graduate teachers from colleges of education losing their temper as recruitment lingers

Graduate teachers from the various colleges of education are growing increasingly frustrated as the Ghana Education Service (GES) continues to delay their recruitment into the teaching workforce.

Taking to social media, these individuals have voiced their discontent and impatience about the silence of the Ghana Education Service on the matter. Some of the flyers shared read “POST US NOW!”

Despite meeting all the necessary criteria including completing their four-year education program, fulfilling the one-year mandatory national service, and passing the Ghana Teacher Licensure Exams, they are still left in limbo as their recruitment remains uncertain

With no official communication from the GES regarding the recruitment timeline, these graduate teachers are urging the Government, the Ministry of Education, and the GES to expedite the process and provide them with clarity on when they can expect to be recruited.

According to them, the delay in the recruitment is causing huge distress among them as they are eager to contribute their quota to the education sector.
