Muslim Students in Colleges of Education Request for Rescheduling of End of Semester Exams

Share:

The Muslim Students in the various Colleges of education, particularly those affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), are seeking the help of the TTAG and other stakeholders in appealing to the authorities to reschedule the examination timetable for the second-year students.

The current examination timetable requires Level 200 students to take their first term exams from 26th to 30th June. However, this is said to pose a significant challenge to Muslim students as the festival of Eid al-Alha falls on 29th June 2023.

The Muslim students fear that the timing of the exams will conflict with their religious obligations, particularly the observance of Eid prayers.

The students are hereby appealing to their mother association, TTAG, to lobby with the necessary authorities to come to their rescue by shifting the exams forward so they can observe their religious obligations without any academic interference.
