The Offinso College of Education has successfully graduated a total of 541 student teachers at its 17th Congregation, held on Friday, August 29, 2025.
The ceremony, which celebrated academic excellence and the future of Ghana’s education sector, was themed “Enhancing the 21st Century Classroom: The Role of the Young Teacher.”
The graduating class recorded impressive academic results, reflecting both hard work and the College’s commitment to producing competent, forward-thinking educators.

The ceremony also recognized exceptional individual performances. The Overall Best Graduating Student, Master Dankwa Francis Faith achieved a remarkable Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.9, a testament to academic discipline and dedication throughout the training programme.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal commended the graduating cohort for their perseverance and urged them to become transformative educators, capable of meeting the challenges of 21st-century classrooms.
The theme of the congregation highlighted the evolving expectations of teachers in a rapidly changing educational environment, emphasizing the importance of innovation, technology integration, and emotional intelligence in shaping future learning spaces.
Stakeholders present — including education officials, traditional leaders, alumni, and families — applauded the College’s consistent commitment to teacher development, discipline, and academic quality.
Offinso College of Education, which is affiliated with the University of Cape Coast, UCC, has over the years established itself as a leading institution for preparing professional teachers to meet the needs of basic education in Ghana.
