OLA College of Education has celebrated yet another academic milestone, graduating a total of 490 newly trained teachers in a colourful ceremony that highlighted the institution’s continued commitment to excellence in teacher education.
The event brought together stakeholders in the education sector, alumni, families, and traditional authorities to witness the transition of the graduating class into Ghana’s teaching workforce.
According to official records, the academic classification of the 2025 graduating cohort is as follows:

Addressing the ceremony, the Principal, Dr. Mrs. Regina Okyere-Dankwa, commended the graduating students for their hard work and urged them to uphold professionalism, discipline, and innovation as they step into classrooms across the country.
She also called for greater support from stakeholders to further enhance infrastructure, technology integration, and professional development opportunities for staff and students.
“As a College, we remain committed to producing teachers who are not only academically prepared but also ready to meet the diverse needs of learners in a rapidly changing educational environment,” she emphasised.
OLA College of Education, a renowned institution with decades of service to teacher preparation, has consistently played a central role in training quality educators for basic schools nationwide.

OLA College of Education, located in Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana, is one of the oldest and most prestigious teacher-training institutions in the country.
Established in 1924 by the Catholic Missionary Sisters, Our Lady of Apostles (OLA), the College has played a pioneering role in shaping the country’s education system.
The college is dedicated to training female teachers, offering Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programmes under the affiliation of the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
