The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana (PRINCOF) has announced an extension of the application deadline for entry into Ghana’s public Colleges of Education for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The new deadline is now 30th September 2025, instead of August 31, 2025.
Below is a step-by-step guide to applying for admission into any of Ghana’s Colleges of Education for the 2025/2026 academic year:

ToggleStep 1: Purchase an E-Voucher
Applicants are required to obtain an e-voucher at a cost of GH₵350.
The voucher can be purchased from any branch of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG)
Alternatively, applicants may use mobile money platforms — MTN Mobile Money, Vodafone Cash, or AirtelTigo Money — by dialing *924*8#.
Step 2: Complete the Online Application
Visit the official admission portal at admission.coeportal.edu.gh.
Carefully fill out the online application form and upload all required documents, including a passport-sized photograph and relevant academic certificates.
Applicants are strongly advised to double-check every detail, as any error or omission may negatively affect their chances of admission.
Step 3: Submit Your Application
After successfully completing the online form, print two copies of the confirmation page (also referred to as the confirmation letter).
Attach your results slip(s) and other supporting documents, and send them via Ghana Post Office Mail Service (EMS) to your first-choice College of Education.
The envelope should clearly display your Application Reference, full name, phone number, and Form Number — all of which can be found on your printed confirmation letter.
Applicants who face challenges completing the online process are encouraged to seek assistance from a trusted typist or a reliable internet café to avoid errors or delays.
Requirements
Admission Eligibility:
Applicants must obtain credit passes in six subjects, consisting of three core subjects — English Language, Mathematics, and either Integrated Science or Social Studies — as well as three elective subjects relevant to the applicant’s chosen program. Both WASSCE and SSSCE qualifications are acceptable.
Special Needs Applicants:
There are modified entry requirements for applicants with visual or hearing impairments. Selected Colleges of Education are designated to provide specialised facilities and support for such candidates.
PRINCOF urges all prospective applicants yet to apply to take advantage of the extended deadline to ensure they process their applications for consideration.
