The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has outlined the examination and vacation schedule for the second semester of all Public Colleges of Education across the country, marking the conclusion of the 2024/2025 academic year.
According to their revised academic calendar, the second semester for the 2024/2025 academic year commenced on Monday, 16th June 2025, and will culminate in a comprehensive examination period for Level 100, 200, 300, and 400 students from Monday, 8th September to Friday, 19th September 2025.
This two-week period will assess academic proficiency across course areas and will determine progression for continuing students and final year completion for the graduating cohorts (level 400).
The official vacation date for the year under discussion is Saturday, 20th September 2025, which also signifies the end of the academic year.
It should be noted that PRINCOF is yet to release the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic year (upcoming academic year).
However, based on historical patterns and internal consultations, it is anticipated that trainees will return to campus in October/November 2025, all things being equal, for the new academic year.
This tentative timeline is subject to confirmation and may be adjusted based on national education directives and institutional readiness.
Trainees have been urged to use the remaining weeks to intensify their preparations and seek academic support where needed.
