St. Theresa College of Education has held its 16th Congregation, proudly graduating a fresh cohort of professionally trained teachers poised to strengthen Ghana’s basic education system.
The ceremony, which took place on Thursday, March 13, 2025, was themed “Transforming Teacher Education through Inclusivity and Digital Innovation.”
The event brought together education stakeholders, traditional leaders, alumni, families, and students to celebrate academic excellence and reflect on the evolving demands of teacher education in an increasingly digital and inclusive era.
A total of 248 student teachers successfully completed their training across three key specialisations — Junior High School (JHS), Primary Education (PE), and Early Childhood Education (ECH).

The results underscore the College’s dedication to academic quality, with over two-thirds of graduates attaining First and Second Class Upper honours — positioning them for impactful teaching careers.
The principal, in his address, commended the graduates for their resilience and commitment, urging them to embrace digital tools and inclusive strategies to meet the needs of every learner in Ghana’s diverse classrooms.
“Teacher education is entering a transformative era. To meet the demands of the 21st-century classroom, teachers must not only master their subject areas but also adapt to digital innovation and inclusivity, ensuring no learner is left behind,” a representative of the College leadership said.
