The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) has issued a stern warning to the government, threatening a nationwide demonstration if the demands for improved treatment for college of education tutors are not met within the shortest possible time.
The Presidents of TEIN chapters from all the 46 Public Colleges of Education across the country have expressed their collective outrage over the “deplorable treatment” of college tutors, claiming they are being neglected and disrespected by the government.
In a recent statement released, the TEIN leadership declared they will not tolerate the continued mistreatment of their mentors.

They emphasized their unwavering resolve to fight for the rights of their tutors and demanded a prompt response from the government.
Failing this, they will issue a formal notice calling for a nationwide demonstration, bringing together TEIN members, concerned citizens, and TEIN presidents from across the country.
“We will no longer tolerate the neglect and disdain shown to our mentors. TEIN stands strong, ready to take a stand. If the government fails to act, we will issue a formal notice in the coming days.”
The TEIN statement also criticized the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) for their silence on the issue, calling it “complicity.” They vowed to stand united with all concerned parties to fight for the future of their education.
“To NUGS, we say: your silence is complicity, but we won’t be silenced. Together, we will fight for our tutors, for our education, and for our future!”

TEIN demanded immediate action from the government to address the long-standing concerns of the tutors, ensuring their return to classrooms and guaranteeing quality education for all students.
“We urge the government to take immediate action and address the long-overdue needs of our tutors, ensuring their return to the classrooms and quality education for all.”
