CETAG has finally released a missive urging its members to return to the classroom.

The Leadership of the Association after consultation with their legal team and also considering the formal appeal by the Leadership of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) and that of the general public, and seen PRINCOF resolve to take steps to compensate tutors for engaging in the all-year-round academic work and the goodwill CETAG has enjoyed from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has called off their leave.

Equally considering the need to salvage the academic calendar from imminent distortion, CETAG has hereby directed its members to end their 10-working day old leave hitherto, on Friday., September 16, 2022.

They, therefore, urge members to travel back to their respective campuses within the weekend and resume academic work on Monday, September 19, 2022.

This is to pave a way for further engagements with PRINCOF and the relevant stakeholders to finalize arrangements on the matters.

Members are promised to be duly updated on ensuing developments by the Association.

The missive reads;

“We have at least, rested for ten working days which is good for our health. We will follow through to bring finality to bear on the matter other than which at the appropriate time, we will proceed to take the remaining vacation period enshrined in the Harmonized Conditions of Service for Staff of
Colleges of Education,

“Leadership is profoundly proud of the members of CETAG for the solidarity shown, and for the invaluable charitable contributions and sacrifices made during the period.

We have once again proven that indeed, CETAG members will forever swim together and sink together. Your unflinching support was phenomenal.

We entreat members to continue to uphold the cordial relationship with our college Management
as we work to defend the flag of CETAG.”
