Teacher trainees in colleges of education are urged not to rush to the bank to load their cards until they have received a payment alert from the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF).
According to SLTF, Fraudsters have been using social media platforms to dupe unsuspecting trainees with promises of helping them receive their allowances or secure loans with “fake messages” and screenshots.
This fraudulent activity has caused financial harm to many trainees who have fallen victim to these scams. Trainees are therefore advised to exercise caution and only rely on messages and information from official sources.
