In a short notice dated 13th August 2025, GES clarified that the statement—bearing the reference number GES/HQ/PR/25/098—has been misrepresented and manipulated, and the public is advised to disregard any unofficial versions circulating on social media and WhatsApp platforms.

GES warns parents, students, and guardians to be vigilant and avoid engaging with unauthorized contacts or portals that promise early access to results or placement services.

The Service has not endorsed any private individuals or groups to handle result confirmations or school placements.

GES has emphasized that all updates regarding the 2025 BECE results and the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) will be communicated through;

  • The official GES website: www.ges.gov.gh
  • Verified social media handles
  • National media outlets

According to GES, any legitimate Self-Placement process will be conducted through the official CSSPS portal, and no fees or personal contacts are required to access placement services.

GES is urging all stakeholders—students, teachers, heads of basic schools, directors of education, and parents—to remain alert and report any suspicious messages or scams to the nearest district education office.
