GES Halts SHS Graduation Ceremonies

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a directive to all Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools (SHS/SHTS) to immediately cease all activities related to graduation ceremonies for the 2024 graduating class.

This includes the collection of any fees associated with the ceremonies.

The directive, communicated through a letter dated September 19, 2024, (reference number GES/DDG(MS)/28/24/255), instructs Regional Directors to ensure that all Heads of SHS/SHTS are aware of the directive and comply fully.

The GES Management has warned that any Head of School who fails to comply with the directive will face disciplinary action.

The GES has urged all stakeholders to cooperate with the new policy.
