Government Releases GH₵50 million to WAEC

The Ministry of Education has announced the release of Fifty million Ghana Cedis (GHC 50 million) to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to support the conduct of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)

In a recent press release, the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Kwasi Kwarteng, stated that this disbursement reaffirms the government’s commitment to provide the necessary financial support to WAEC, ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the exams.

“We want to assure all stakeholders, especially students, parents, and guardians, that the government is dedicated to creating an environment that fosters high-quality education for all Ghanaian students.”
