The Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken swift action against the alleged collection of illegal fees at Fijai Senior High School.
In a recent release, the GES confirmed that they have interdicted the Headmaster, Mr. Kenneth Agbomadze, with immediate effect, pending further investigation into the matter.
Reports indicate that the Headmaster has been collecting fees from students that are not authorized by the GES.
As a result, the GES has reiterated their stance against the collection of illegal fees, and has ensured that appropriate measures have been taken to address the issue.
In their statement, the GES has also directed Mr. Agbomadze to hand over the administration of the school to the Western Regional Director of Education. This is a clear indication of their determination to address the matter in a prompt and effective manner.
Furthermore, the GES has established an investigation committee to carry out a further probe into the matter. The committee has been given two weeks to submit their report to the Education Service Headquarters.
This action underscores the GES’s commitment to ensuring that all educational institutions are aligned with the approved policies and regulations.
It is important to note that the GES has a zero-tolerance policy regarding the collection of illegal fees. Any individual found culpable of this offence will face the full extent of the law.
The GES expects all public educational institutions to adhere to the regulations and policies set by the government to ensure equal educational opportunities for all.
