The management of Komenda College of Education has donated assorted items to the Komenda Traditional Council in support of the ongoing Nyeyi Festival, a celebration aimed at fostering unity and development within the Komenda Traditional Area.
The presentation was made on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, as part of the College’s longstanding commitment to strengthening its relationship with the community.
Items donated included crates of malt, Coca-Cola, Fanta, Club Beer, Guinness, schnapps, packs of bottled water, and an undisclosed sum of money to assist with the successful organization of the festival.

Expressing appreciation, the Paramount Chief of the Komenda Traditional Area, Okatakyi Komeh VIII, lauded the College for its continuous support and goodwill.
He called for the sustained partnership between the institution and the community, pledging the Traditional Council’s readiness to reciprocate whenever necessary.

He further assured the College of the Council’s support in safeguarding its lands and enhancing its role in community development.
Speaking on behalf of the College, the Vice Principal, Dr. Theophilus Kweku Bassaw, emphasized the bond of unity and mutual support that exists between Komenda College of Education and the Komenda community, describing it as a relationship that grows stronger each year.


The Nyeyi Festival, which began on 8th September and runs until 16th September 2025, is held annually in honour of the community’s departed heroes and heroines whose sacrifices contributed to its growth.
This year’s celebration is being observed under the theme: “Empowering Traditions for a Sustainable Future.”
