Information gathered by Coleman Publications reveals that the PIN codes for the 2025 service year will be released in the last week of February.
This delay is due to the directive from the NSA Director, Felix Gyamfi, who has given some colleges of education and tertiary institutions a one-week grace period to renew their expired accreditations.
The Director emphasized during a press conference held on February 13, 2025, that the NSA will only work with institutions that have valid and intact accreditations.
He revealed that over 20 colleges of education currently have expired accreditations from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission.
“So far, we have found out that over 20 Colleges of Education have expired accreditations from the Ghana Tertiary Education,” he revealed.
“I am using this channel to reach out to the Colleges of Education that they should use the one-week ahead of us, including the grace of Friday and the week ahead of us, to make sure that their accreditations are restored; otherwise, we will not allow their graduates to register.”

Accreditation Requirements
The NSA is tightening its accreditation requirements for tertiary institutions. Gyamfi cautioned that the Authority will only collaborate with universities and colleges of education that maintain valid accreditations.
He urged institutions to use the grace period to restore their accreditations, warning that graduates from institutions with expired accreditations will not be allowed to register for the NSA as their PIN Codes will come.

No Ghana Card, No National Service
In addition to the accreditation requirements, he also made it clear that prospective graduates must possess a valid Ghana Card to participate in the NSS.
This policy, according to him, aims to eliminate ghost names from the NSS payroll and ensure that only eligible candidates are registered.
