UCC opens M.Ed sandwich admissions for colleges of education graduates

The University of Cape Coast (UCC), through its Institute of Education (IoE) and in collaboration with various departments under the College of Education Studies, has launched its Cohort 2 Master of Education (M.Ed) Sandwich Programmes.

The initiative, which offers concessional admission to graduates of Ghana’s Colleges of Education, is designed to meet the professional and academic development needs of practicing educators across the country.

According to UCC, the sandwich programmes will run for two semesters, adopting a blended learning format that combines online instruction with periodic face-to-face sessions at designated centres.

  • Online teaching begins: October 2025
  • Face-to-face sessions commence: December 2025

The IoE encourages eligible teachers to review the list of available programmes and select one aligned with their previous undergraduate specialization or area of interest.

Qualified applicants may also choose to change their area of specialization to one of the following:

  • M.Ed Guidance and Counselling
  • M.Ed Measurement and Evaluation
  • M.Ed Educational Psychology
  • M.Ed Information Technology
