There are many personnel reaching out to our front desk inquiring when their stipends will be paid to them.
Well, we decided to figure out the cause of the delay in order to provide our cherished readers and personnel with the necessary information.
In our recent interaction with an NSS director regarding the issue, he disclosed that the allowances are expected to be paid once the new administration, to be instituted by the new president, is in place.
The Director revealed that a new boss for the scheme is yet to be appointed in order to take care of the issues on board, which is expected to be done soon.
Additionally, he disclosed that there is also an ongoing investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor regarding the recent allegations leveled against the scheme about paying ghost names.
This, he said, has also contributed to the delay in the disbursement.
The director therefore urged personnel to remain calm, assuring them that their concerns are being taken into consideration.
Personnel are expected to conclude their mandatory service on January 31, 2025, with February designated as their leave month.
However, they have not been paid since November 2024. Stay tuned for updates as the situation unfolds.
