The move is part of efforts to enhance transparency, improve stakeholder support, and clamp down on fraudulent activities ahead of the upcoming school placement exercise.

This development aligns with the Ministry’s official CSSPS roadmap, which has so far progressed smoothly.

Following the release of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results on August 23, and the conclusion of both the initial and extended windows for school choice confirmation (August 27 – September 8), the next key milestone will be the publication of Senior High School (SHS), Senior High Technical School (SHTS), and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) placement results on September 17, 2025.

New Official CSSPS Support Channels

The MoE has now provided public contact lines for all placement-related concerns:

Call Centre Line 0541548223

Parents, guardians, and candidates can use these channels to report placement issues, seek clarification, and receive direct assistance from the CSSPS technical support team.

Placement Process

GES has once again stressed that school placement is completely free.

Candidates and parents are urged to ignore individuals claiming to have influence over placements in exchange for money.

Any suspicious demands must be reported to the Ghana Police Service or the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Placements are determined strictly on merit, based on:

  • Raw BECE scores
  • Competitiveness of the selected school
  • Programme demand (Science, Business, Technical, etc.)
  • Boarding or day preference
  • Catchment area considerations

This means candidates with the same aggregate may receive different school placements depending on programme demand and school competitiveness.
