The Ministry of Health has officially announced a significant reduction in the cost of application forms for admission into Health Training Institutions nationwide for the 2025/2026 academic year.
This move aims to make healthcare education more accessible and affordable for prospective students nationwide.
Effective immediately, the application fee has been reduced from GHS 200.00 to GHS 150.00, a substantial decrease designed to alleviate financial burdens on aspiring healthcare professionals.
In an official statement released and signed by Kwabena Mintah Akandoh (MP), Minister for Health, he noted that “this reduction is intended to enhance access and affordability for applicants across the country.”
The sale of application forms will officially commence on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025, and conclude on Thursday, June 19th, 2025.

- Application forms can be purchased at any branch of GCB Bank PLC and the Agriculture Development Bank nationwide.

Application Process:
• Visit the online application portal: Go to the official Health Training Institutions application portal starting April 22nd, 2025, to apply
• Create an account: Using the serial number and PIN code obtained from the bank, create a new account on the application portal.
• Complete the application form: Fill out all required fields accurately and completely. Ensure all information provided is truthful and verifiable.
• Upload supporting documents: Scan and upload all necessary supporting documents as specified on the application portal.
• Review and submit: Carefully review all information provided before submitting the application. Once submitted, changes may not be possible.
• Print confirmation: After successful submission, print a copy of the application confirmation for your records.
• Track your application: Regularly check your application status using the serial number and PIN.
General Admission Requirements:
Please note that the specific admission requirements may vary slightly depending on the chosen Health Training Institution and the program of study.
However, the following are generally required:
WASSCE/SSSCE Holders:
- Passes in six (6) subjects with overall aggregate not exceeding 36 for WASSCE and 24 for SSSSCE.
- Core Subjects: Credit passes (A1-C6 for WASSCE and A-D for SSSSCE) in English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science.
- Elective Subjects: Credit passes in any three (3) elective subjects relevant to the program of study.
Other Qualifications:
Applicants with relevant Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND) qualifications may be considered for admission into specific programs.
Specific entry requirements for these qualifications will be outlined on the application portal and in the program brochures.
Age Requirement:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
Nationality:
Applicants must be Ghanaian citizens. Foreign applicants may be considered based on available spaces and upon meeting specific immigration requirements.
Good Moral Character:
All applicants must be of good moral character and possess a genuine interest in pursuing a career in healthcare
The Ministry of Health has urged the general public and all prospective applicants to take note that only GCB Bank PLC and the Agriculture Development Bank are authorized to sell the application forms.
Individuals are cautioned against purchasing forms from unauthorized sources.
“The general public and all prospective applicants are entreated to take note that only GCB Bank PLC. And the Agriculture Development Banks are mandated to sell the application forms,” the statement concluded.
